Show Two Cedar City men enlist in Army delayed program Two Cedar City men have enlisted with the United States Army under the delayed de-layed enlistment program, according to SSG Frank Stast-ny, Stast-ny, Army Recruiter headquartered head-quartered in Cedar City. Roger Wayne Simper, a student stu-dent at Southern Utah State College, and David Wayne Isom, are the two enlistees. Simper enlisted January 21 for Army Career Group 91, Medical Treatment. Currently he is scheduled to leave for active duty on March 20. Following Fol-lowing basic training he will be sent to one of 19 different schools for training in his chosen area. I Isom selected Special Unit Assignment. He is slated to report for Active Duty on February Feb-ruary 7. Under his enlistment options he selected his Basic Training Camp at Fort Ord, Calif, and in addition selected, select-ed, by option, attachment to the 82nd Airborne Division and will join that unit at Fort Bragg, N.C. for a minimum of 18 months training following his basic training. - Isom is married to the former Pauline Gull and they have a daughter. |
