Show "Royal Hunt of the Sun" Will Be Performed Feb. 5 Through 8 The dramatic conquest of tlie Peruvian Inca nation by a comparatively small band of Spaniards led by Francisco Pizarro is the theme of Peter onaffer's play, "Royal Hunt of uie Sun," to be produced at college of Southern Utah Feb. a through 8. A special performance per-formance wlil be given Fob. 4 for high school students, according to Fred C. Adams, director. Curtain time will be 8:15 p. m- each evening in the CSU Auditorium. Spanish Setting Set in Spain and the rugged Andes Mountains of South America, the background for the play is dramatically austere1, aus-tere1, yet brilliant. A platform simulating mountains slants upward to a stylized replica of the sun, which provides the local point for much of the action. Gary Mclntyre is set designer. Otahuallpa, sun god, and his Inca subjects are exotical-ly exotical-ly attired in magnificent replicas re-plicas of ancient Indian ritual robes. Constructed predominantly predom-inantly of feathers, the costumes cos-tumes have all been meticulously meti-culously hand sewn by mem-berg mem-berg of,.tho--CSU costume de. partment under the direction of Mary Judd. , Miss Judd has also design- I e?d the 16th century uniforms and armor worn by Pizarro and his Spanish soldiers, as depicted in the play. Otahuallpa and Pizarro are portrayed by Ferial Zeeman, Spanish Fork, and Mike Boss, Cedar City. Others in the 40-member 40-member cast are Larry Brough and Mike Thompson, Cedar City; Tim O'Brien, John Paulk, Garry Hofeltz, Lon Davis, Doug Bishop, Sam Granato, and Brent Dean, all of Salt Lake City; Scott Roberts, Alan Clark, Randy Dunn, Ken Vick, Provo; Nancy West, Fillmore; Hellie Hughes, Farmington; Dean Snelling, Albuquerque, N.
