Pageant Pag-eant is scheduled this evenin, Indian Pageant set this evening i Peru, and Chile. "From the Eagle's Bed" portrays an Indian In-dian expression of hope for a life of progress and happi- i ness. ! The author uses 16 original songs and other techniques of staging which was first pre- ' sen ted at BYU and has since been presented in many parts of the state as well as some Indian missions. I I Tickets will be sold at the ' I door at the rate of $1 " for' adults, 50 cents for children or $5.00 per family. Proceeds will go for Indian Scholarships to BYU and other major Indian programs of the church. An Indian pag.sant will be presented this evening, Thursday, Thurs-day, in the Cedar High School auditorium beginning at 7:30 p. m. The pageant entitled, "From the Eagle's Bed" is sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and portrays por-trays the story of the laman-ite laman-ite people. Cedar, Cedar West and Parowan Stakes will act as hosts for the evening. A cast of 89 Indian students stu-dents living in th.s homes of foster parents will participate partici-pate in the 90 minute special program. Students come from New Mexico, Arizona, and oth-er oth-er parts of Utah under the In-1 dian Student Placement program pro-gram of the LDS Church. Script for the production was written by Kirt M. Olson who has spent several years working with the Indian peo-1 pie in countries such as Brazil, |
