Robert Gerring of the College of Southern Utah Art Department has exhibit now at CSU Library Lounge. j Robert Gerrring Art Show on Display Three unique fountains provide pro-vide an unusually interesting display in the one-man exhibit exhib-it of art works by Robert Gerring, Ger-ring, College of Southern Utah art instructor, currently on view in the CSU Library Lounge. Entitled "Two Faces of Eve," "Water Tower" and "Spring Landscape," the fountain foun-tain pieces demonstrate the utilitarian aspects of ceramics work as well as the esthetic qualities. Other ceramics articles include in-clude casseroles, teapots, pitchers, pit-chers, bottles, pots, and vases. A distinctive set of wind bells catches the eye. In addition to 42 ceramics pieces, the large show includes 17 sculpture forms and 16 paintings, a distinct indication and energetic production capacity. ca-pacity. Mr. Gerring came to CSU a year ago after receiving a masters of fine arts degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He teaches ceramics, sculpture, drawing, and commercial com-mercial art. He has exhibited works of various kinds in Arizona, Missouri, Mis-souri, California, Nevada and Utah, and will exhibit a one-man one-man show at the Springville High School Art Gallery in Springville through the month mon-th of December. I The CSU exhibit is open daily from 9 to 5 p. m. and may be viewed by special appointment ap-pointment in the evenings or on week ends. |
