Show New Hunter Safety Course To Begin Sept. 12th. A Survival Training and Hunter Safety Course will be conducted this month under the sponsorship of the Cedar City Recreation Department. The course, approved by the Fish and Game Department, will be taught by Kenneth Benson and is a prerequisitie for youth who intend to apply for their first hunting license. , The course will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 4 p. m. at the Little Theatre at the Junior High School. The course will continue each Tuesday and Thursday until completed. The state law was changed, It was pointed out, to allow those 12 years of age or older to hunt birds or small game. As a result the course will be open to both boys and girls 11 years of age and older. ' Previously the minimum age was 14 years, Benson stated. |
