Show Utah 4-H Members Return Home After Exciting Visit to Chicago A ' blue ribbons for the last three years. Miss Patterson was named best in the home economics project proj-ect sponsored by Montgomery Ward. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Patterson. Miss Newey, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Newey, won the home improvement program , award provided by The S&H Foundation, Inc. As a result of her home improvement im-provement work in 4-H, a number num-ber of local residents have asked Miss Newey to assist them in refinishing and reupholstering their furniture. Miss Stephenson took state garden honors. Her sponsor is the Farm Equipment Division, Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company. Misi Rogar Mm Naway Utah 4-H Club members have recently returned home after attending at-tending the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago the week after Thanksgiving. Delegates to the congress named by the Cooperstive Extension Ex-tension Service were Kathy Rogers, 19, of Layton; Cheryl Patterson, 18, of Koy; Marcia Newey, 17, of Huntsville, and Betty Ann Stephenson, 17, of Holden. During their five-day stay in Chicago, the girls attended meetings, went on sightseeing tours, and visited the Art Institute. Insti-tute. One of the highlights of the congress was a musical program pro-gram by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at.ended by all of the more than 1,500 delegates from ' the 50 states and Puerto Kico. Miss Rogers, daughter of Mr. . and Mrs. Lehi Rogers, won the dress revue awrd given by Simplicity Pattern Co. Inc. Her dress revues have won state I ii Mitt SrapKemon Mill PaHenon During her seven years of 4-H garden projects, she has raised and canned 114 different varieties vari-eties of vegetables. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Stephenson. |
