Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williamson are just as pleased with their new granddaughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Shcjdon Benson of Parowan on Saturday, Feb. 25. j Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Wade and two children and Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Wade and little son, all of Cedar City, were in town Wed-, nesday visiting with Dora's father, fath-er, H. B. Robinson and the Re- .vere Robinsons. LaVar has Just ' returned from the armed ser-: ser-: vices where he has spent the i past four years. I Miss Ivy Robinson spent the last week end In Henderson, Nevada, Nev-ada, a guest of her brother-in-I law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Burt Walker and family. I Mrs. LaRue White, Mrs. Helen : Matheson and Mrs. Shirley White were In town Wednesday to a , quilting bee at the home of Mrs. Idella Robinson. I Robin Lamoreaux, a PHS student, stu-dent, did himself proud in the school pJay Wednesday evening j in Parowan. He took his part ex-jceptlonally ex-jceptlonally well as did all the others In the cast. I A large number of our people i attended the funeral Thursday In Parowan for Samuel Whitney. Amenzo Topham is on the sick list at his home here. Mrs. Gordon Manzlone has gone to Beaver to be with her husband who has employment I near there. I Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Thornton I of Draper, Mrs. Myrl Bates of American Fork, and Mrs. Isa Barton Bar-ton of Cedar City were visitors at the EarJ Thornton home on Thursday. Mrs. Ellis Robinson accompanied accompan-ied Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson Robin-son to Provo where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bud Robinson I and daughters over the week end. Mrs. Robinson went on In to' Salt Lake and spent a few days with her sister, Mrs. Mary E. Gurr. I Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Topham and family spent a few days In town last week end from Sprlngdale. Mrs. Asa Topham Is In the Iron County Hospital for treatment for a bad leg. Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Stones made a hurried trip to Las Vegas and Henderson. Nev., over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Car-lyle Car-lyle Mitchell of Cedar City. They enjoyed some good night club programs in company with Mr and Mrs. Bill Scott. Mrs. Scott is the former Margaret Lamor eaux Angelo. In Henderson they visited with the Clarence Lamor-eauxs. Lamor-eauxs. Mrs. Jess Lister returned home from Las Vegas where she has been to consult her physician. Samual Abbott, who has been In a Salt Lake Hospital receiving treatment for a severe heart ailment, ail-ment, was removed to the home of his son, and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Abbott. His wife Is with him in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jones traveled to Alberquerque, New Mexico, to visit with their son Melvln, who Is in the armed services there. Mrs. Melvln Jones and daughters returned home with them and will remain here until her husband Is released. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Stones and children of Cedar City spent Monday Mon-day visiting at the D. Amasa Stones home. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Robb and children returned to Salt Lake City Monday. They were accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Alice Batts of Cedar City who traveled north to be with her mother, Mrs. Bernard Baldwin, who under went surgery on Tuesday. The Paragonah Junior M-Men team played Parowan 1st Ward Saturday evening and won the game. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Robinson and Mrs. Bertha Topham gave interesting reports of their recent re-cent trips to California which were high lighted by the excursion excur-sion through the new LDS Temple. Tem-ple. The accordlan trio, Heber, Duane and Kenny gave a musical number. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Williamson and daughters came from Las Vegas Saturday and took his father, Edwin Williamson, back with them for an Indefinite stay. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitney and family, who have been here with Mrs. Whitney's father since the death of her mother, have moved back to their home near Parowan. Par-owan. H. B. Robinson was feted at a birthday celebration Sunday by his family members at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Revere Robinson. A famUy dinner was the main feature of the occasion. Here for the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Osborne and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Wade and family, Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Jolley and daughters, all of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Dee White of Summit. Mr. and tars. Clair Robinson and family of Parowan, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Manzlone of Beaver, joined with the Victor and Revere Robinson families. Paragonah news concluded .. .. Mrs. Golda Guyman, Stake Junior Gleaner Leader, made the arrangements for the delightful program with Mrs. HUma Lamoreaux Lamor-eaux carrying out plans in this ward. The guest speaker was Paul Dahl, Seminary teacher of Cedar City, who showed most Interesting slide pictures taken in Finland when he was a missionary mis-sionary there. The program also Included musical numbers and light refreshments.
