Show Red Cross Workers Named, Bloodmobile Visit Planned, Fund Campaign Report Shows Gain Glade Smith of Parowan has been elected vice chairman by the directors of the Iron County Chapter of the American Red Cross, It was announced by Earl Hanson, chapter chairman. Also the board elected Mrs. Robyn Ban-croft Ban-croft as a director and chairman of home nursing. Boyd Adams attended the National Na-tional Aquatic School of the American Ued Cross at Camp Tulequoir, Miramonte, Calif., In June. Mr. Adams will replace Bruce Osborne, who is on leave from the College, in conducting Red Cross water safety classes at the new college pool. Keith Cripps has been named chairman of the recruitment program pro-gram for the next blood drawings draw-ings in Iron County. The blood-mobile blood-mobile is scheduled to be In Parowan Par-owan July 27 at the Elementary School from 5 to 7 p. m. It will be at Cedar City at the Elks Lodge on July 28 from 2 to 7 p. m. Iron County has failed to meet blood quotas for some time and every effort will be made at the next drawing to exceed our quotas, quo-tas, Mr. Hanson said. Orrln B. Beckstead, administrative adminis-trative director for the Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Regional Blood Center In Salt Lake City will be in Cedar Ce-dar City on July 12 to assist In the recruitment program. He will talk to service clubs and volunteer volun-teer workers about the blood pro- gram and recruitment work. Dr. tiaylen Brown is the blood program pro-gram chairman for Iron County. Reverend Grayson Coweiv, 1365 Fund Drive Chairman, said that Iron County in the drive Just completed, raised $2513. This amount was short of the goal but exceeds the amounts raised in the past several years. Approximately Approxi-mately half of the amount raised remains with the Iron County Chapter for budgets of the various var-ious services. Reverend Gowen thanked the many fund drive volunteers vol-unteers who in receiving the contributions con-tributions attained ai Iron County Coun-ty membership of 1,000. |
