Clemont Adams, city engineer, displays the new type of signs that have been purchased to bring the street identification system up to date. The sign on the bottom bot-tom is the new type which was ordered. It is an embossed sign of white with black letterincs and bordered. It was ordered to nearly match the top sign, which is the pres-' pres-' ent style now in use. New signs, however, are of steel, rather ra-ther than aluminum and are expected to hold up longer. New sign program will just identify new streets that are not already marked and new signs of the type below will be ordered to replace old signs as they are taken out of use. Adams stated. |
