Show Eve Physician, Surgeon Opens Practice Here J. Garth Chatterley, M. D., eye j piiysician onv SUrC-Cri, nu3 Cpm ed up offices at 73 West Harding Hard-ing Avenue in Cedar City. The Cedar City native, prominent prom-inent ophthalamologist in Salt Lake City for the past several years, has moved his offices to Cedar City to undertake a full-time full-time practice. Dr. Chatterley was born in Cedar Ce-dar City to Mr. and Mrs. John M. Chatterley. He attended Cedar City schools and graduated from the Branch Agricultural College, now College of Southern Utah, in 1912. During the second World War he served as an Air Force Weather Officer In the Aleutians and returned to continue hi3 studies graduating from the Un iversity of Utah in 1917 with a degree in chemistry. He receiveil his MD degree from the U of U Medical College in 1951. His Interneship was served In the Wayne County Hospital and In 1952 and 1953 he i'o mnHlna 1 H i ranfnp ft t ho Atomic Energy Commission installation in-stallation at Idaho Falls, Idaho. Dr. Chatterley received his oph-thalamology oph-thalamology fellowship from the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Mich., in 195C. Three years of eye jurgical residence have been completed by Dr. Chatterley at the Detroit Children's Hospital and the Herman Her-man Keifer Hospital. Dr. Chatterley is married to the former Margaret Malan ot Ogden and they have five children child-ren including Steven 11, Larry 8, IVvid 7. Carolyn 4 and Kelly 2. The Chatterleys are now making mak-ing their home in Cdar City. |
