Show LDS Seminary Sponsors Prison Chaplain Talk :; -y " A -r v ;., Linf...l....iJ tii. i CHAPLAIN RAY SMITH Ray Smith, chaplain of the Utah Sta'e Prison, will be guest speaker at a special Sunday eve-ning eve-ning service to be conducted by the LDS Seminary. Meeting will be held Sunday, Feb. 3 in the Cedar Stake House at 8:15 p. m. Mr. Smith was educated In the Cranite High School and the Utah Agricultural College. He served in the Marine Corps during dur-ing World War I. He served as a post office clerk for 34 years and will retire from that position posi-tion on Jan. 31, 1958. A very acMve church member he has served as president of the Deacon's, Teacher's Elder's and Seventies quorums; superintendent superin-tendent of Sunday School, and YMMIA and also as a stake missionary. mis-sionary. Everyone is urged to attend this fine program which Is being be-ing prescn'ed on a stake-wide basis. P is pointed out that no other religious meetings will be held at this time to conflict with the special program. Mr. Smith was appointed to 'he Utah Sta'e Prison as a representative rep-resentative of the LDS Church nine years ago.
