Show CSU Winter Sports Day Plans Made by Committee Snow Carnival activities on the College of Southern Utah campus are in readiness for Saturday Feb. 1, according to Eleanor Grimshaw. Cedar City, co-chairman of the event. A full day of activities have been planned for all s'udents of the college. A dance Saturday evening will be open to tho public. The day's activities begin at 8:30 a. m., Saturday, February 1, at the college where buses will pick up the students and transport trans-port them to the College Ranch. At 9 a. m. the snow sculp' ur-ing ur-ing begins under ths direction of ! Coach Tetty. All those not participating In the sculpturing will compe'e in snow shoe races, skiing, skat- ing, sledding, volleyball and to- I bogganing. At 12 noon luncheon will be 'served, during which a program I will be presented with Bevan Corry as chairman. Following the luneluvin will be the election of the Snow Kin? and Queen from the following candidates: for queen, Shirley Mclntyre and Gail Davies; for king, Jess Hollerman, Wendel Hea'on and Dick Eastlyn. At 2 p. m. there will be an organized or-ganized snow ball fight between sophomores and freshmen. To climax the day's events there will be a dance in the ball, room at 9 p. m., the Jingle Bell Rock, where the king and queen, will be crowned. Girls wear sweaters and boys loud shirts-Music shirts-Music will be furnished by Robert Ro-bert Seegmlller's band. |
