Show Local Civic Leader Retires After Long Service CARL J. WASMUTH Carl J. Wasmuth, engineer with the Utah Construction Com-pany, Com-pany, and popular local civic club member, retired Saturday, June 30, after 33 years association associa-tion with the construction and mining business. Mr. Wasmuth started his engineering en-gineering career with the Northern North-ern Pacific Railroad Company, serving as location and construction con-struction engineer for seven years. He then spent eight years with Morrison Knudsen Company Com-pany as engineer and superintendent. superin-tendent. The past 18 years he has been associated with the Utah Construction Company as office manager and traffic manager. man-ager. The last 13 ft years of that time he has been in Cedar City. He came here from New York City with a short stay In Kingman, King-man, Ariz. During his stay In Cedar City Mr. Wasmuth has been Interested Interest-ed In civic affairs and has taken tak-en an active part In civic im-pxvement im-pxvement and promotion, mostly most-ly through his membership In the Cedar City Rotary Club.
