Show Christmas Tree Sales Subject to Certain Restrictions The Utah Forestry Department remlneds Christmas tree vendors that the state law requires, "Each tree offered for sale, sold or given giv-en away, must be tagged to show compliance with the provisions pro-visions of this act . . ." The law also states, "Any Vendor of Christmas trees will be required to show source of supply, and for trees native to Utah, the vendor ven-dor will show legal subdivision, the lands from which Christmas tre.?s were cut. For Christmas trees cut from private land, the vendor shall present satisfactory satisfac-tory evidence showing legal possession pos-session . . ." Trees shipped ino Utah for sale must be tagged. Forest Service, Lureau of Land Management, or commercial shippers tags are valid. The Utah Forestry Department Issues a tag for trees procured from privately owned lands. Tags may be purchased pur-chased from state district foresters, forest-ers, county sheriff's, or the Salt Lake headquarters of the Utah Forestry Department. A bill of sale certifying to the legal acquisition ac-quisition and describing the location lo-cation of the trees to be cut must be shown to obtain state tags.
