Show KANARRAVILLE NEWS 1 By Hannah Davis The ward held a carnival on the city park Saturday evening to raise funds for the state seminary sem-inary building. Each organization organiza-tion of the ward had a booth. Lunches were sold at the church and the rest of the evening was filled wiht entertainment of different dif-ferent kinds. There was a lare crowd in attendance and all had a very enjoyable evening. Mrs. Cora Stuckl of Cedar City and her two granddaughters, Kathleen and Peggy Williams of Boulder City, Nev., were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Williams were happy to have as guests over the week end Mrs. Lillian Ashby of Ely. Nev., and A. T. Wakeling of Kanab. While here they attended the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Crawford of Cedar Ce-dar City . Also the entire family of Mr. Wakeling gathered Sunday Sun-day at the Jack Crosby home in Cedar City for an afternoon of visiting. Perry O. Williams and daughter daugh-ter Jalene of North Las Vegas, were week end visitors here with his mother, Amanda Williams. He spent Saturday on the mountain moun-tain fishing with his brother Wil-lard Wil-lard and son Donnie. Mr. Williams Wil-liams returned home Sunday but Jalene will stay with her grandmother grand-mother for a while. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Christensen and family of Henderson were visiting relatives here over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Haskell of Payson were visitors with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Batty. They came for their children chil-dren who had been with their grandparents for several days. Juanita Williams and Richard Klosen of Henderson visited with the Preston Williams family Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday. Sam I. Pollock was pleased to have his son Verl and family of San Fernanda, Calif, visit with him. They attended the carnival Saturday evening and church on Sunday and were pleased to meet their relatives and friends once again. Alice Foiiuch was happy to have her daughters Lula Larson of Spanish. Fork and Nola Merrill Mer-rill and daughter Carolee of Pay-son Pay-son spend a few days here with her. They were also happy to meet all of their relatives and friends and attend the carnival. Mr. and Mrs. Max Williams and chidren of Los Aneeles. Calif. visited here with his father, Ren Williams. Lanell Lunt of the stake high council attended all church services ser-vices here Sunday. He and Brother Broth-er Day of the Seminary wore the speakers in Sacrament meeting. Gail Heap and Miss Helen Leary of Salt Lake City spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Davis. Visitors about town Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. George Wood of Las Vegas and Mrs. LaRay Woolsey and children of California. Califor-nia. Mrs. Lillian Williams and Colleen Col-leen Williams attended a shower for Joye Crosby in Cedar City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Reeves and son Bruce were business visitors in Salt Lake City last week end. Mrs. Barbara Williams gave a slumber party July 17 for her daughter Jody on her seventh birthday. Those attending wore Deborah Williams, Kathy Davis, Brenda Pollock and Christine Cornelius. Cor-nelius. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Davis oi 'e-dar 'e-dar City were Sunday visitors here with Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Davis. Mrs. Betty Williams and son Earl were business visitors in Salt Lake City last week. Earl Hunter and his sister Lucille Lu-cille attended the 4-H encampment encamp-ment at Duck Creek last week. Mrs. Marva Prince ar.d children of New Harmony spent Saturday and Sunday with her mother,, Hannah A. Davis. Mrs. Davis en-Joyed en-Joyed a visit on Friday with another an-other daughter, Elda Fife and children Colleen and Dorothy ol Summit. |
