Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH Mrs. Hilma Lamorcaux 4-H leader Mrs. Dorothy P. La-moreaux La-moreaux announced that the girls 4-H club "The Pinheads" will have their summer's project on exhibit at the church house on September 2 and all interested persons are invited to come and see what the girls have accomplished. accom-plished. The townspeople are Invited In-vited to the exhibit between 4:00 and 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon and the parents of club members will be expected at 7:00 o'clock in the evening when a program will be presented. The club includes eight girls between the ages of 10 and 14 and the projects include First and Second year sewing and Home Improvements. Mrs. Lamoreaux spent two days last week raveling with the Home Demonatration Agent to act as judge for 4-H projects. On Tuesday they traveled to Circleville and on Thursday to Beaver. Heart attacks struck two of Paragonah's senior citizens on Thursday of last week and both were taken to tne vauey view Medical Center in Cedar City for treatment and both are still there at this writing. Will Robb suffered a heart attack at-tack Thursday morning and was reported improving. Mrs. Belle Edwards also had a heart attack but her recovery is being slowed because she has diabetes. Mr. and Mrs. Max Edwards, son Steven and daughter Sharon and her children of Redding, Calif., and Mrs. Tammy Bingham Bing-ham of Anderson, Calif., have arrived ar-rived here to spend some time with the E. M. Edwards. Legrande Robb was here from Salt Lake City for the week end to sec his father, Will Robb, who is in the hospital and to visit with the Douglas Davenports. Miss Marlene Burt of Beaver spent last week here visiting with Vie Ann Williamson and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Benson and children of El Cajon, Calif., have visited here with the Myron Abbott Ab-bott family during the past week. Mrs. Zelma Robb returned from El Cajon, Calif., Friday bringing with her Mrs. Sandra Stevens and her four children including a new baby boy. What was to have been a happy vacation for the Stevens family turned to tragedy when they arrived to find that Sandra's father-in-law, Albert Stevens had passed away at the hospital in Cedar City that afternoon. after-noon. Mr. and Mrs. William T. Davenport Da-venport traveled to Salt Lake City last week with their son-in-law, Kay Hansen, and planned to visit there for a time. However they were called back home by news of the death of William Marsden of Parowan. Mrs. Mabel Montague and daughter Mary Jo of Payson brought them home for the funeral. Mr anH Mr Jamas Mav- well of Glendale visited with the Wilson Lunds and Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Maxwell on Thursday of last week. Mrs. Maurine Williamson and sons Joe and Paul returned home last week from a vacation trip to Salt Lake City. They made the trip with Mrs. Kathleen Wilker-son Wilker-son and her children of Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rack-ham Rack-ham and their children of Westminister, West-minister, Calif., arrived in town last Thursday for an overnight stay with Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson. Mr. Rackham is a nephew ne-phew of Mrs. Robinson. Shanna, Ellen and Linda Jollej of Cedar City visited in Vara-gonah Vara-gonah with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinsor from Monday to Thursday of lasl week while their parents were ir Las Vegas. Sherlynn White ol Summit was here with therr overnight and Kathy Robinson ol Parowan came to join the group for their stay here. Mrs. Anna R. Williamson was brought home from the hospital again last week after almost two weeks there. Mrs. Nora Barton returned home from St. George Tuesday of last week, but she continues in poor health. She entered the Valley Val-ley View Medical Center Saturday Satur-day for treatment for a few days and was improving. Mr. and Mrs. Renford Talbot have been enjoying a visit from their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Adams and their family of Anaheim, Calif. The Adamses are here on vacation vaca-tion to visit with the Talbots and with Steve's people, the Ray Adams family of Parowan. Miss Kathryn Benson of Beaver visited here with her grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux Lamor-eaux Monday and Tuesday. |
