Show Cedar City High School Publicizes U. N. Day I Bonni Clark, Reporter The Cedar City High School observed National United Nations Na-tions Day, Oct. 21. The program broadcast over the public address system consisted of a talk on the Importance of the United Nations Na-tions in the world today and the Song of the Nations was played. To draw community attention, a short announcement was broadcast over KSUB and the UN flag was flown on the school flag pole. I This program was sponsored by the Model United Nations Club at' Cedar High School. According Ac-cording to Don Seegmiller president, pres-ident, delegates from this organization organ-ization will represent Thailand and South Korea In the General Assembly held In Salt Lake City this spring. It Is the opinion of the club th?.t everyone is or should bo aware of the peace-pursuing aims of the United Nations and the vitalness of its functions in the world. In honor of this organization, or-ganization, Oct. 21 has been set aside as United Nations Day. j |
