Show Avey Pearce Exchanges Vows in Temple Miss Avey Pearce of New Harmony Har-mony and John Virgil Davis of Kanarraville. both students at the College of Southern Utah, exchanged ex-changed marriage vows In a ceremony cer-emony performed at the St. George temple Saturday by Pres. Ident Harold S. Snow. The bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Pearce, New Harmony, and the bridegroom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Davis, Kanarraville. Kanarra-ville. Following the ceremony the young couple was honored at a dinner at the home of Mrs. Zet-ta Zet-ta Worthen In St. George, by Mrs. Worthen. Mrs. Delia Pearce, Mrs. Helen Bleak, Mrs. Anette Formaster and Mrs. Leona Pearce. all of St. George. Members Mem-bers of the Immediate families and close friends were present. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Davis were honored at a reception recep-tion at the chapel in New Harmony Har-mony given by the bride's parents. par-ents. Attending the bride was Miss Verla Pearce, her sister, as maid of honor, and Sharon Grant, Kay Dawn Pace, Laureda Prince and Verdean Hall, bridesmaids. Allan Davis, brother of the groom, stood as best man. His sister, Kathy Davis, was flower girl. Serving were Rolalne Grant, Lana Prince, Jean Pace, Joan Pace, Claudine Prince, Joycelyn Taylor and Vickie Huntsman, and Mrs. Camilla Prince, Mrs. Marva Prince. Mrs. Fern Hall. Mrs. Laura Prince and Mrs. Va-da Va-da Grant assisted in the kitchen. Miss Fayonne Kleinman and Mrs. Helen Slmklns were In charge of the bride's book, and Mrs. Fern Kleinman. Mrs. Sylvia Hall and Mrs. Lula Mathis were In charge of the gift room. The bride wore a white lace ballerina length gown and car-I car-I rled a bouquet of white and red ' carnations. She wore a finger-tip veil of bride's illusion attached to a crown of seed pearls. The bridesmaids wore pink and blue formats and carried bouquets of carnations and rose buds. The mothers of the bride and groom were dressed In blue and wore corsages of pin carnations. carna-tions. A program was presented with Paul E. Felt of Cedar City acting as master of ceremonies. The remainder re-mainder of the evening was spent In dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Davis will continue contin-ue their studies at C S U for the remainder of the spring quarter. |
