Show John R. Robinson Funeral Rites Held By Nora Lund Bishop Victor R. Robinson conducted con-ducted funeral services Wednes-day Wednes-day in the Paragonah Ward chapel cha-pel for his uncle, John R. Robinson Rob-inson of Meeker, Colo., who died Aug. 2. Services were conducted conduct-ed in Rifle, Colo, in the L D S chapel on Monday at which a brother, Ellis Robinson of Paragonah, Para-gonah, attended. Wednesday Mrs. Clark Lamoreaux Lamor-eaux played the prelude and postlude organ music and accom-pained accom-pained the choir which say "Oh My Father" for the opening song and "I Need Thee Every Hour," for the closing number, with D. Amasa Stones directing. The Invocation was by Thomas K. Holyoak of Parowan, and the benediction was given by Wallace Wal-lace Miller of Pangultch, with John Yardley, Jr., of Beaver offering of-fering the ptayer at the home of Mrs. Lula Bastlan. Speakers were Gilbert Barton of Parowan and Bishop Robinson. Musical numbers included a violin vio-lin and piano duet, "Whispering Hope," by Mrs. Elna Stubbs and Mrs. Merna Mitchell of Parowan. Ted Barton, also of Parowan, sang 'That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine." a , rcl-t!vc: zr.i friends accompanied the remains to Cedar City for burial In the Cedar City cemetery beside his first wife, Sarah Ann Owens, who died in Cedar City In 1920. A son, Rex Robinson, dedicated the grave. Those here for the funeral from out of state were the widow, Mrs. Clare Robinson, Meeker; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Robinson and son Jim of Rifle, Colo.; Mrs. Mary Tuttle and son Halbert, Craig, Cola; Mrs. Fredla Bernyk of Sunland, Calif.; Joe Robinson, Rio Blanco, Colo., and Mrs. Gladys Becker of Omaha, Neb. Too numberous to mention were the relatives and uieuua who came from the surrounding sur-rounding towns and other Utah communities. |
