Show Cedar Gity Social Swing Mr. and Mrs. Max Randall and children, Norma Jean, Janice and Billy were In Provo last Saturday for the final concerts in connection connec-tion with the summer music clinic cli-nic at Rrlghavm Young University. Universi-ty. Making the trip from here with them was Miss Pat Frame. The Randalls were especially Interested In-terested In the activities of the clinic since their two oldest children chil-dren David and Elese have excelled excel-led in their particular divisions. David held first chair In the clarinet section of the concert band a'.d also performed in a piuno Suet with Robert Brownlee, lf-'juctor, at the recital on Friary Fri-ary afternoon. Elese was chosen firsi chair in the clarinet section of the high school band. After the conceit Saturday night, which was held in front of the science building on the Y campus, the Randall family traveled on to Salt Lake City where they visited visit-ed with Mrs. Randall's mother, Mrs. Martha Drecksel and with Mr. Randall's parents, the William Wil-liam HaniKils . Leaving Elese, Nonna Jean and Pat Frame in Salt Lake City to visit, the rest of the family returned home on Sunday. The three girls returned to Cedar City Tuesday with Beatrice end Edna Randall who plan to visit with their brothers Max, Henry and Clarance and their families for the rest of the week. Square dancing was on the agenda Monday evening when Mr. and Mrs. Gail Duncan entertained. en-tertained. Those enjoying the eve. nlng of dancing were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Li.iford, Mr. and Mrs. El dro Rigby, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tucker, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cox. After dancing at the Crawford Craw-ford patio, the group was served light refreshments at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Duncan. Mrs. Grace Heap entertained last Thursday evening. Club members and guest, Mrs. Ivy Mc-Garry, Mc-Garry, enjoyed refreshments after af-ter which bridge was played with prizes being won by Mrs. Betty Randall, Mrs. Dorothy Urie and Mrs. Iva McGarry. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lunt were happy to have their son. D. Eldon Lunt, his wife and children, Bob and June, home for a three-day visit last week. Mr. Lunt, who is with Branlff Airlines, and his family, leisurely enjoyed the mountains at the family cabin before returning to their home in Dallas, Texas. Eugene Helland has been participating par-ticipating in the summer music clinic at the B Y U during the past two weeks. For the lat week of the clinic. Mrs. Helland and four children traveled to Salt Lake City to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Bate. After the completion of the clinic clin-ic they were Joined by Mr. Helland Hel-land for the return trip to Cedar City. Miss LaRue Ford recently en-Joyed en-Joyed a visit from her brothjr Olaf Clay Ford and his wife, the former Zelma Williams, With the travelers came their two sons Barry and Leslie. Mr. Ford and his family reside at Adak of the Aleutian Islands, where he Is a civil service employee with the Navy Supply Department While in Cedar City they shared their time with Mrs. Ford's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Urie Williams. A trip the north rim of the Grand Canyon was enjoyed by Miss Ford and her brother and famllv before they began their travil back to their home. The Wilson Lunt cabin "Linger Lodge," was the scene Saturday morning for the gathering of the Birthday Club. Mrs. Lunt :n-vlted :n-vlted the group to the lovely spot at Navajo for breakfast and to wish Mrs. Leta Cowley a very happy birthday. The group meets together on the birthday of each member which has been a practice prac-tice for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Leland I ley wood invited the En Amitle Club members mem-bers and partners to breakfast Sunday at their new home on Kanarra Mountain. The beautiful beauti-ful home In Its lovely setting was thoroughly enjoyed by alL After the mid-morning breakfast the group drove to see the Kolob darn which was recently dedicated. Upon their return, they prepared a chicken dinner in dutch ovens out in the open where they could not only feast on the delicious de-licious food but also the gorgeous scenery all around them. Those enjoying the Heywood hospitality hospitali-ty were Mr. and Mrs. Penn Barton, Bar-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Burrus Barton.
