Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Pleased to have the company of her daughters Jackie and Carmen Car-men this past week was Mrs. Beth Leigh. Seth welcomed Jackie and Ivan Beam and their three children who were here from Pocatello, Ida. Mrs. Leigh was also happy to visit with Carmen Car-men and Harold Hiner and their three children who arrived from Tucson, Ariz., for a summer visit. During their stay in this area they joined with the Richard Leigh family for several gatherings. gather-ings. Capt. Gail Walker rectr;ly completed a ten month course in Communication Electronics train-ing. train-ing. Capt. Walker has been stationed sta-tioned at Kesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss. He is in Cedar City spending a portion of a thirty thir-ty day leave with his mother, Gertrude Walker and with Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Browning and family. He also plans to visit with friends on the coast before reporting for assignment at Goodfellow Air Force Base In San Angelo, Texas. It has been reported by Mr. and Mrs. Lanell Lunt that their son-in-law Dr. Rondo A. Christensen Christen-sen of Logan, was made Bishop of the River Heights 2nd LDS Ward. Dr. Christensen is married to the former Jeannean Lunt He received the appointment Sunday June 30th. Twenty five guests gathered Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ardeen Childs. The occasion was planned for members mem-bers of the 8th Ward Young Married Mar-ried group. Guests enjoyed participating par-ticipating in table games and all were delighted with the delicious buffet dinner which was served. Responsible for the event were Mrs. Garth Chatterley and her committee. Califrnia is being enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Meade Forsyth and their two children, who plan to spend a week visiting on the West coast. During their stay they will visit with relatives. |
