Show Physical Education Club Formed On College Campus The Executive Council of the College of Southern Utah student stu-dent body has recognized a new luh on the campus this past week. The new organization is the Physical Education Majors and Minors Club to be known as the PEMM Club. The objectives of the organization, organi-zation, which was approved by the executive council In formal presentation, were listed as follows: fol-lows: l. To foster a concern for progress In physical education, health and recreation at CSV; 3. cooperate with and participate actively in state and national PE associations, and other associations asso-ciations interested in the growth and development of children and adults; 3. Advance the standards of the profession; 4. Provide for and encourage greater social and professional co-operation among health, PE and recreation major students, faculty and alumni, and 5. Provide an opportunity for participating in a professional profession-al organization. Elected officers of the PEMM Club include Linda Vance as president, with Hank Halversen, vice president; Judy Chandler, secretary; Jane Cullens, freshman fresh-man representative, and Mitch Myers, sophomore representative. Cleo Petty, head of the department depart-ment of physical education and health, will serve as advisor to the new club. |
