Show Legion Auxiliary Sets Themes, Committees for Year Officers of the Parowan Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary at a recent meeting named com. mittees to have charge of each of the monthly meetings of the unit, starting with the October and ending with the August, 1958 meet. At the same time they selected se-lected the program themes for these meetings. The members of the committees and themes for each of the meetings are as follows: fol-lows: October, "Education and Scholarship," Scho-larship," Jean Hendrickson, chairman; chair-man; Elaine Adams, Ver da E. Adams, Ethel Bayles, Marie W. Orton. November, "Membership," with the officers in charge. December, "Rehabilitation," Golda Guyman, chairman; Helen Dalton, Lucille Bunn, Sara Low-der, Low-der, Cherrle Day. February, "Americanism," Roberta Ro-berta Rowley, chairman; Dean B. Orton, Estelle Orton, Alta Adair. Eva Adams, Belle Lemmon. March, "Community Service," Mary Orton. chairman; Roene Lund, Maggie Page, lone Orton, Bertha Mitchell. April, "Child Welfare,- Edna Hatch, chairman; Marie D. Orton, Or-ton, Alice Halterman, Florence Joseph, Uvada Bettridge. May, "Poppy," Minnie Lowder, chairman; Nellie Taylor, Llbbie Matheson, Frona Cartwright, Nellie Nel-lie Prltchard. June, "Junior Activities," Barbara Bar-bara Adams, chairman; Hattie Harris, Zilpha Dalton, Sara Hu-let, Hu-let, Delia Marsden. July, "Girls' State." Mabel Wilcock, chairman; Laverne Do-brusky, Do-brusky, Mareen Jensen. Butella Halterman, Mary Stubbs, Sara Mitchell. August, "Convention." The meetings of the Auxiliary are held on the third Wednesday Wednes-day of each month. The October meeting was held Wednesday night with special musical numbers num-bers being furnished by Gordon Batt, an accordion solo, and Raymond Ray-mond Lowe, a pantomime number. |
