ALBERT MICKELSON Open House to Honor Mickelsons On Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mickelson, well-known residents of Parowan, will celebrate their Golden Wedding Wed-ding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 15, 1964. The event will be observed with an open house to be held in the Third Ward recreation rec-reation hall from 8 to 10 that evening, with all friends and relatives of the couple invited to call. They request no gifts. A fan'v d'nnpr will be held in the Kelt., uw.,.., .ooms prior to the open liou.se. Both Mr. and Mrs. Mickelson were born and reared in Parowan. Paro-wan. Albert was born Dec. 19, 1889 here, a son of Neils and Hannah Taylor Mickelson. Flossie Flos-sie was born here April 10, 1891, a daughter of Oscar and Hannah Burton Lyman, all pioneer residents resi-dents of the community. They were married Nov. 10, 1914, with the observance b'in advanced to this time to permit all of their children being able to attend. Their marriage was later la-ter solemni.ed in the St. George LDS Temple. Mr. Mickelson was a prominent farmer and livestock man of the city until his retirement. He is a member of the high priests quorum of Parowan Stuke. Mrs. Mickelson has been prominent prom-inent in alfairs of the LDS Church, and has served as an officer and teacher in the Primary and Relief Society organization. She has also been an active member of the Daughters of Pioneers Pio-neers organization. They have six living children, three girls and three buys. They are Ernest and Norman Mickelson, Mickel-son, Flagstaff, Ariz; Mrs. John (Abbiei Brignand, Reno. Nev.; Mrs. Terry (Adriennei Ness, San Jose, Calif , Mrs. Neaf (Clcnna) Swapp, Page, Ariz., and Ieonard Mickelson, Powell, Wyo. They al so have 23 grandchildren. |
