Show hi - Cedar High School Days ' By Colleen Cox Highlight of this past week was, of course, the triumph of the Cedar Redmen over the Uintah Uin-tah Utes. Up to give the team a rousing send-off at 4 a. m. last Friday were the girls of the Suah Kahne Club. These and other students stu-dents also helped to welcome the boys back Sunday with a cavalcade caval-cade of cars and a police escort es-cort As many atuients as possl-j possl-j hie are planning to travel to Salt Lake Friday and Saturday to Cheer the Redmen on to the state championship. Meanwhile the Girls' and Boys' Organizations, under the direction direc-tion of Mary Jean Anderson and Phil Yergensen, have been active as they sponsored their annual Sadie Hawkins Day dance and assembly. Cries of "Caught you, you've got to come with me now!" rang through the halls as each girl chased the boy whose name was drawn with hers to ask him to the dance. The dance, always a popular one, proved no exception this year with the student stu-dent body out en masse to top off the Sadie Hawkins activities. Veterans Day was observed at Cedar High in the furm of an assembly. The school band furnished fur-nished the music for the program and guest speakers included Richard Gillies of the College of Southern Utah; Milt Sevy, local Southern Utah; Elvln Seely, local lo-cal American Legion commander, and Mrs. Sidney R. Hahne, former form-er English and speech teacher at Cedar High. |
