Show Schedule Is Set . For Testing Of Dairy Cows All dairy cattle in Cedar City one year old and over, will be tested for tuberculosis on Monday, Mon-day, July 30, as part of the state program to safeguard the health of Utah citizens, according to Stephen L. Brower, Iron county agricultural agent. Testing the cattle with no charge for the service will be lir. Ray White and Dr. Clair Porter. Cows will be tested on Monday, and then checked on Thursday, Aug. 2 for reactors. Cows should be taken to the same place at the same time for the test and for the check. The county agent pointed out that it is important that stock be at the nearest testing corral at the time designated, and emphasized the fact that the test is not complete com-plete without the check. The schedule and location of the tests are: July 30, 6 a. m. to 6:40 a. m., Welfare corral just north of ball park; 6.40 to 7:20 a. m., L. A. Burascano corral at 240 North 400 West, and 7:20 to & a. m., Frank Thorley corral at 1100 West 200 South. Tests in the evening will be 6 p. m., Welfare corral; 6:40, Burascano Bur-ascano corral, and 7:30, Thorley corral. The checks will be made Aug 2 at the same hours and places. Dairy cow owners who are interested in-terested in having their cows tested for "Bang's Disease" or B:ucellosis, may make arrangements arrange-ments with Dr. White or Dr. Porter Por-ter at the time the cows are tested test-ed for T.B. The "Bangs" test can be taken care of on the day the cows are checked. This service is provided free of charge also. Cows in Midvalley will be tested on Monday and "Wednesday, "Wednes-day, July 30 and Aug. 1. Schedules Sched-ules will be mailed to these people. The tests in Beryl will be on July 31 and Aug. 3, with these people being notified of the time and place. According to the extension agent, the state law reads in part: "Upon notification, it is the duty of every owner to have his cattle assembled at a time and a place designated by the inrpector in order that they may be tested for Tuberculosis." |
