Show Pheasant Hunt Area Outlined by Local Game Warden No sooner will the deer hunt be over than sportsmen of the area will turn to their shotguns and begin warming up for the three-day pheasant season, Nov. 6, 7 and 8. As many of the pheasant enthusiasts en-thusiasts already know, the Cedar Ce-dar City Farmers Association has arranged with the State Fish and Game Department to post the Cedar Valley area to restricted restrict-ed hunting. They have banned together in a protective move against damage to fields and fences plus control of the number of pheasants to be taken from the area. It has been pointed out by Claude Macfarlane, local game warden, that originally the Enoch farmers were going to work the same plan but during the week they have decided against it. As a result the boundaries for the Cedar .Valley unit have been listed as follows: Northern boundary boun-dary will be the Midvalley Road, west boundary is the Lund highway, high-way, the east boundary will be the Cedar-Minersville road and the south boundary will be .the Cedar-Modena highway. According to the state regulations regula-tions the Cedar Farmers will be required to maintain a checking 'station in the area. Macfarlane also indicated that six of the I farmers have been deputized to help control the hunt in that area. Special permits for the area have been placed on sale in various var-ious sporting goods stores in the ! city, it was indicated. |
