Dalley, long time residents of Cedar City, celebrated the 50th Anniversary of their marriage on Tuesday,' Sept. 1, when members of the family gathered at the home here for a family dinner. E. B. and Margaret Pryor Dalley Dal-ley were married in the St. George Temple on Sept. 1, 1903, and have maintained their home here since, although they have .spent a number of winters in other communities where Mr. Dalley taught school. Mr. Dalley taught school for 33 years, 24 of them in Cedar City. He taught in Arizona for four years and in Nevada for nine. For 15 of the 24 years he taught here he served as principal of the Cedar elementary elemen-tary school. He retired from teaching in 1937, and throughout World War, II and to the present time has served as Clerk of the Iron County Coun-ty Selective Service Board. Al- jways active in musical circles Mr. Dalley has served as ward chorister for a greater number of years than any in the Cedar I stake. I Mrs. Dalley has long been ac-itive ac-itive in women's organizations of j the L D S church, and was for ' many years an active member of the Cedar camp of the Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Dalley, and all but one are still living. They include Mrs. Ramola Lee, Henderson, Nev.; Alma E. Dalley, Boulder jCity, Nev.; Austin P. Dalley, Cedar Ce-dar City; Albert N. Dalley, Over-ton, Over-ton, Nev.; Nolan Dalley, Lark, jUtah; Rue B. Dalley, Boulder City, Nev.; Mis. Zelma Kreiger, Washington, D. C, and Teggy Dalley, American Fork. They have 14 grandchildren. |
