PAUL WHITNEY Members of the Escalante Knife & Fork Club will obtain the latest theories in Child Guidance Guid-ance at the nextr meeting of the organization from one of the most dynamic authorities 'on the subject sub-ject in the United States in the person of Mrs. Paul Whitney, social so-cial worker expert on Child Training, author and brilliant public speaker. ' According to York F. Jones, the local secretary, who is in charge of the committee on arrangements, arrange-ments, the affair will be held at Hotel El Escalante on Mar. 21. Plans have been concluded to acommodate the large crowd of local members who are expected to Dack the meetlnc to hear Mrs. Whitney. She has been a popular pop-ular speaker in Knife and Fork Clubs for the past ten years and it is expected that many will want to hear h?r speak on "Is American Schooling Over Done?" A graduate of Wisconsin and the Crane School of Music, she also earned l master's degree at Syracuse University in 1933. She is considered an authority In her field and she has address-, ed leading educational groups, parent-teachers associations, and other organizations Interested in American youth. After the last war we had "The Lost Generation" about which Scott Fitzgerald wrote so brilliantly. bril-liantly. What sort of a generation genera-tion we are going to have coming along on one yet knows definitely, definite-ly, but Mrs. Whitney's interpretation interpre-tation of the American youngster of today will enable us to judge what he may develop into tomorrow. |
