Show Miss Joyce Guymon, Joseph Hamilton To Wed August 24 A wedding which will be solemnized sol-emnized in the Salt Lake L D S temple on Friday, Aug. 24 will unite in marriage Miss Joyce Guymon of Parowan and Joseph Vernon Hamilton, according to announcement made last week by Mr. and Mrs. Jess Guymon, parents of the bride. Mr. Hamilton Hamil-ton is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Hamilton of Vance-burg, Vance-burg, ky. Following the ceremony which will be performed by Temple President, Robert D. Young, the newlyweds will return here where they will be honored at a reception that same evening at the home of the bride's parents. Attending the bride will be her sister, Miss Grace Guymon as maid of honor and the following follow-ing as bridesmaids, a sister La-Vonna La-Vonna Guymon; RaNae Adams and Gene Halterman. Kendali Gurr will act as best man foi the groom. The newly married couple will leave Saturday morning for Louisville, Ky, where Mr. Hamilton Hamil-ton will enter the dental college at the University of Louisville. The bride is a graduate of the Parowan high school and attended attend-ed the Brigham Young University last year where she was a member mem-ber of the Cougarettes and Nautilus Nau-tilus organizations on the campus." cam-pus." Mr. Hamilton has attended the University of Kentucky, the University Uni-versity of Utah and the B Y U. He is a veteran of World War II, serving in the India-Burma theater. He has also filled a mission for the L D S church in the Texas - Louisiana mission. |
