Show Iron County Pioneer Dies at Home After Long Illness Funeral services were held in the College Ward Chapel Tuesday Tues-day afternoon for Alouis Bauer, 92, pioneer Iron County resident, . who died at his home Saturday following a long illness. Mr. Bauer was born in Beaver, on Nov. 17, 18G2, a son of Alouis and Barbara Eliker Bauer. In 1888 he married Lena Ence in the St. George LDS Temple, who died 45 years ago. Mr. Bauer had resided in Cedar most of his life, engaging in farming and livestock live-stock raising most of the time. He is survived by ten sons and daughters, John A. Bauer, Nev.; Pearl Bauer and Harmel Bauer, Cedar City; Irwin Bauer, Washington; Mrs. Hazel Aldous, and Arvilla Bauer, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Thora Perkins, Bount. iful; Mrs. Mae Benson, McGill, j Nevada; Magnus and Rex Bauer, ' Glendale, Utah. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren grand-children and 20 great-grandchild-! ren. The funeral services were conducted con-ducted bv Edwin C. Cox. coun sellor In the College Ward Bishopric. Bish-opric. Prelude music was by Mrs. Bernella Jones, who also was accompanist for all musical numbers. Speakers at the services were Mr. Cox, Harry Lunt, and Samuel Sam-uel F. Leigh. The musical program included a vocal solo, "A Stranger of Galilee," by Ruth C. Uric, and two numbers. "Oh. My Father," and "Going Home." bv a mixed on art et composed of Gladvs Isom Ruth Urie. L. C. Miles, and Vernon Ver-non A. Jones. Invocation was by Reid Cox, benediction bv Newell F. Was-Hon Was-Hon and the dedicatory rtraver at the cemetery by Henry L. Jones. |
