Everyone who saw the operetta thoroughly enjoyed it. "The Golden Butterfly" featured a delightful play and excellent music. The nominating convention to nominate next year's student body officers was held in the Lit-thle Lit-thle Theatre last Tuesday. A dele- tj gate from each home room, and each home room representative, was present and made the nominations. Four candidates were chosen for each office. The candidates for president are Frank Knell, Bob Jones, Otis Mc-Call Mc-Call and Larry Lowder. The candidates can-didates for vice president are Marva Carter, Mavis Beck, Vicki Taylor and Kathleen Decker. The candidates for secretary are Yvonne Bauer, Eleanor Grim-shaw, Grim-shaw, Kay Ashcroft and Sandra Langford. The primary election will be held today, Thursday, April 7, The final election will be held Friday, April 15. Only those students stu-dents who are registered will be allowed to vote. Thanks to the townspeople who bought or renewed magazine subscriptions the fund raising campaign sponsored by the LDS Seminary was a success. Rodney Turner, Seminary principal reports re-ports that the Seminary's earnings earn-ings from the project will be approximately ap-proximately $550. The money will be used to start the building build-ing fund for the new Seminary building to be constructed next year. The reason for constructing a new Seminary building Is to provide more classrooms for the expanding Seminary enrollment. The Box Elder High School choir will present an assembly to the students of Cedar City High School next Wednesday, April 13 at 9 a. m. |
