Show Jack Webster Gets Bronze Star Award Posthumously Mr. and Mrs. Mark Webster Wednesday received a Bronze Star, awarded posthumously to their son Pfc. Jack M. Webster for meritorious service in Korea during the last half of 1950. Pfc Webster was killed in Korea Ko-rea on Dec. 9, 1930, after having been in service in Korea from soon after the opening of hostilities hostili-ties at the 38th parallel, until he lost his life early in December. The citation for the award of the Bronze Star Medal to Pfc Webster reads as follows: Private First Class Jack M. Webster. .Army Medical Service, United States Army, a member of Headquarters Company, 24th Medical Battalion, 21th Infantry division distinguished himself by meritorious service in Korea during the period 2 July through 9 December, 1950. His service as Dental Technician was continuously continu-ously marked with distinction. Throughout the period he worked tirelessly in' ministering to the wounded. Through his untiring efforts he aided materially in successful accomplishment of his organization's mission. Entered military service from Cedar City, Utah. Jack's body was returned to I Cedar City recently and burial was made in the Cedar cemetery. |
