Show Popular Cedar Girl, Parowan Man Exchange Vows An impressive high noon ceremony cere-mony united Adele Sevy. daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Heber Sevy, and Bruce Decker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Decker of Parowan, In marriage at the Cedar City L D S Institute Sunday. June 20. The double-ring ceremony was performed per-formed by Stake President David L Sargent in the presence of the Immediate families, relatives, and friends of the bride and groom. The bride was dressed in white imported organdy and carried an old fashioned boquet of red roses and gardenias. Mrs. Carl Croft served as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Marian Sevy, sister of the bride, and June Decker, sister of the groom. Homer Hom-er Whitney of Parowan acted as best man for the groom. Ushers at the wedding were Russell Sevy, Jay Thorley and Dorian Janson. Preliminary violin music was rendered by Roy L. Halversen, and Bert Carpenter sang two solos. Mrs. Stanley Bradshaw played the wedding march. The bride graduated from the Cedar City high school and the B A C where she was a member of the Phi Alpha Beta sorority and was very active In college dancing circles. Following her graduation she attended the University Uni-versity of Utah where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma social sorority, the Onl-cron Onl-cron Nu, national home economics econom-ics honor unltOrchesls, U. of U. dancing group, and the Opmln sorority, campus talent group. Mr. Decker graduated from the Parowan high school where he was very prominent in athletics and music. He atended both the Dixie Junior college and the BAC before enrolling at the University Universi-ty of Utah, where both the bride ana groom are seniors. Mr. Decker Deck-er served in the U. S. Army during dur-ing the recent World War. The newly married couple, their families and relatives, and intimate friends enjoyed, a buffet luncheon immediately following the ceremony, after which the newly weds left for a honeymoon trip to Jackson- Hole, Wyoming. . Mr. and Mrs. Decker will make their home In Cedar City until fall when they will return to school at the University of Utah. |
