M V K t Two-Day Celebration to Officially Dedicate New City Airport Bidding The $120,000 administration building at the Cedar City municipal muni-cipal airport will be officially dedicated this week end wiih a two-day program on April 21 nnd 22 which will be climaxed with the official dedication ceremonies ceremon-ies at 1 p. m. on Sunday. A variety of activities have been arranged to draw people from all over the southern part of the state, and invitations have gone out to airport facilities in the states of Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Col-orado, California and Idaho. Aerial activities and Inspection of the administration building and aircraft will take place Saturday Sat-urday afternoon, beginning at 1 p. m., followed by the barbecue at 6:30 and the dance at 9 p. m. Attractions for Sunday Include a model airplane exhibition from 10 a. m. to U a. m. with the formal for-mal dedication of the building set for 1 p. m. Aerial activities, activi-ties, including scenic flights over the parks will finish out the afternoon. af-ternoon. Reigning over the entire affair af-fair will be the aueen. Dolores Urie, Cedar City, who will be crowned Saturday night at the coronation dance. Her attendant will be Arlene Christensen, Kan-osh. Kan-osh. Both were selected from the sponsor corps at the Branch Agricultural Ag-ricultural college by a committee commit-tee from the local Elks lodge. As an inducement to pilots to fly to Cedar City for the dedication, dedica-tion, a one-meal ticket is being offered to them, which will include in-clude transportation from the airport into Cedar, admission to the barbecue and the coronation dance, lodging in town for Sat-urday Sat-urday night and breakfast Sun day morning. ' For people who do not want to buy the package deal, especially local residents, there will be single sin-gle admission tickets to the barbecue bar-becue and the dance. All other events are free of charge. Admission Ad-mission to the coronation dance Is $1.50 per couplo. The entire two-day celebration was planned to officially open and dedicate the new administration adminis-tration building at the airport. Housed In the spacious building are the offices for Western Air Lines. Civil Aeronautics Administration Admin-istration and the airport manag-er. manag-er. In addition, there is a spa-clous spa-clous lobby, cafe, and kitchen to serve the public. Enclosing the cafe and lobby at the northwest end of the building Is a circular glass window win-dow which looks out over the runways.
