Show Enterprise Pioneer Dies at 93 Following Illness ( 7 X' Enterprise: Alydla Terry Wlnsor, Wln-sor, S3, pioneer of Enterprise and southern Utah, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Simkins, following a week's illness. She died of causes incident to age. Mrs. Wlnsor, one of the original ori-ginal pioneers of Enterprise, was born on January 19, 1857 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Thomas S. and Mary Ann Pulsipher Terry. Ter-ry. After moving to Enterprise she became one of the first telegraph tele-graph operators In the area, serving serv-ing as operator for the Desert Telegraph company in Southern Utah, Arizona and Nevada. She also taught school at Hebron, before be-fore she married Anson Perry Wlnsor, Jr., in the St George Temple on March 9, 1877. Mr. WfiUBf died 35 years ago. Surviving are" seven' of' Mrs. Winsor's eleven sons and daughters, daugh-ters, Anson Perry Wlnsor III. Mrs. Ethel Simkins and Mrs Mary Pickering of Enterprise; Luther M. Wlnsor, Salt Lake City; Walter T. Wlnsor, Ivins, Utah; Rulon S. Wlnsor, Compton, California, and Mrs. Adelia Shurtllff, Overton, Nevada. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Joseph A. Terry, and Prank D. Terry of Enterprise; David Terry, Delta; Jed M. Terry, Ned Terry and Mrs. Exie Blake, St. George, and Mrs. Eva Lee, Panaca, Nevada. Ne-vada. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. in the Enter-prise Enter-prise L D S ward chapel. |
