Show Control Planned for Shoal Creek Waters Because the flood waters of Shoal Creek and adjacent watersheds water-sheds are sometimes a menace to farm lands and State highways high-ways at Beryl Junction, diversion diver-sion dams, dikes and other ne-cessary ne-cessary structures required for the control of flood waters will soon be built All necessary right-of-ways Incidental In-cidental to the building and completion com-pletion of the project are being obtained. L. M. Wlnsor, state flood control engineer, will sup-ervlse sup-ervlse the construction. The County Commissioners, at their last meeting, voted to offer of-fer assistance in the project. In accordance with the detailed plans furnished by Mr. Wlnsor, parties participating in the project pro-ject will each furnish for a period per-iod of two weeks, beginning June 15, at least one piece of power equipment for erecting the necessary structures. The Commissioners have agreed to appropriate $750 toward the project pro-ject from the General fund of the County. |
