Cedar 2 1 .667 Valley 2 1 .667 Kanab 2 1 .667 Dixie 2 1 .667 Hurricane 1 2 .333 Enterprise 0 3 .000 Coach Alma Garrett's Cedar Redmen trimmed Enterprise by a score of 47 to 31 in a game played at Cedar, while Kanab won from Hurricane by a score of 50 to 32, and Valley tipped Dixie 38 to 35. The Redmen, after losing a tough game to Dixie a week earlier, ear-lier, caroe back to play excellent excel-lent ball against the highly re-garded re-garded Enterprise team. The Cedar Ce-dar team put up a strong defense de-fense that held the visitors to eight field goals, and also worked work-ed smoothly on offense to score 20 goals on well executed plays. The Redmen teamed well throughout the game with the victory definitely the result of team play rather than Individ ual performance. Bud Bauer led the attack in the first half, connecting con-necting for four field goals, and Dale Perkins led the offense in the second half with four field goals and two points from the foul line. Cedar took a commanding command-ing lead in the first quarter and was never threatened afterwards. Gen Mizutani, diminutive forward, for-ward, played an excellent floor game for the visitors, and De-lone De-lone Hunt kept his team in the game for nine points on eleven free throws and adding six more points on three field goals. The Redmen will face the tough Kanab team this week end, playing on the Kanab floor Friday night. This will be one of the toughest games the Redmen have left on their schedule and a victory over the Cowboys would ive Coach Garrett's team a good chance to stay in the race for district honors. The records of the two teams seem to indicate that they are evenly matched, but the Cowboys will have the advantage advan-tage of playing on their home floor, which is a definite advantage advan-tage since the Kanab floor is so much smaller than the local gym. In other games this week, Hurricane Hur-ricane will play at Dixie and Valley will journey to Enterprise. Dixie and Valley will be fav-ored fav-ored to win and stay in a tie for first place with the winner of the Cedar-Kanab game.
