Back home after a double loss to Weber college last week end, the Branch Agricultural college basketball team will attempt to get into the southern division race when the Broncos meet the Westminster Parsons in two games on the local floor. The Broncos will tangle with the Par-sons Par-sons on Friday and Saturday nights. I At the present timo the Bron- cos and Parsons are trailing in the division race, and each team will be fighting desperately to Improve its position. The Broncos have played only one home game thus far and with all but one of the remaining league games on the home floor, Coach Ray I.indquist's charges should improve im-prove their standing. In addition I to a better break in the schedule the Broncos, a green squad, have gained much valuable experience experi-ence and should make a better showing during the remainder of the schedule. Westminster won its first game last week, tipping the Dixie Flyers Fly-ers by a score of 61 to 56 Friday rlpht. The Fivers turned the ta- Lies Saturday night however, and won by a score of 64 to 55. BAC split a two game series with, Dixie the week before. The Carbon Eagles will play two games at St. George this week end, Friday and Saturday nights, and will be risking a period per-iod season's record. The Eagles are leading the division with six wins and no losses. They opened the season with two close games from BAC. won the second series from Westminster and last week end walloped the Snow Bad-Rers Bad-Rers by scores of 51 to 39, and 62 to 46. All six games were played in the Carbon gym at Price. The Snow Badgers have no league games scheduled for this week. |
