Show New Travel Booklet Is Issued by Utoco 'Travel Hints" Is the title of a new 64-page booklet just pub-lished pub-lished by the Utah Oil Refining Company and which is being distributed free to motorists at stations and dealers handling Utoco products. T. D. Washburn, manager of the Cedar City division of the company, states that the booklet book-let has aroused much interest. It is profusely illustrated and completely covers the attractions of Idaho, Utah and Western Wyoming. Wy-oming. In the index it is noted that there are 333 points of interest in-terest reviewed. The foreword in the booklet points out that " your starting point can be anywhere. No matter mat-ter in what part of Utah, Idaho or Western Wyoming you find yourself at the moment, you are not far from a scenic or historic a'U action of noteworthy interest. "This great area, stretching a thousand miles from the Canadian Can-adian border south to the Utah-Arizona Utah-Arizona boundary, is a kaleidoscope kaleido-scope land of spectacular mountains, moun-tains, fertile valleys, forests, lakes, rivers, deserts, canyons, gorges, cities, towns, trading posts . . . colorful, weirdly beautiful beau-tiful here and there and sometimes some-times fantastic but mostly pleasant pleas-ant and restful. It is peopled by folks who are friendly and hospitable hos-pitable in the best traditions of the American west people or all religious faiths people whose educational and cultural standards are among the highest high-est In the nation." The booklet presents briefly in word and picture some of the outstanding attractions of the region re-gion accessible by automobile. Its purpose is to help motorists plan trips to visit interesting places along and tributary to the principal highways. |
