Show BIRD'S-EYE VIEW OF NEW GARAGE ft s;c Lunt Motor Company Sets Garage Opening for Friday, February 25 The new 1JM9 Dodge will be featured in the Grand Opening) tomorrow in the new showroom of the Lunt Motor Company, according ac-cording to Wilson and Lanell Lunt, owners of the company. The public is cordially invited to see the cars from 8 a. m. to 10 p. m.. At 7 p. m. there will be a special 30 minute broadcast from the showroom. A grand prize will be given away on the show, which will be recorded and rebroadcast at 8:30 over KSUB. Two movies, "Safety Traffic" and "Land of the Free" will be shown during the day, and door prizes and favors will be given to the public. The showing will take place in the knotted pine display room which was just recently completed. com-pleted. The whole front of the building has been remodeled and newly equipped. With the new sheds to house equipment and farm machinery, the company now has 25,000 square feet of floor space. In back of the showroom, which covers 1,000 square feet, there are five offices and a parts department with 1800 square feet of space. These are also finished in knotty pine. The front of the showroom Itself is entirely encased en-cased in glass. The outside is finished in a new imported red brick done In modern design. L. Robert Gardner of Cedar City was the architect and the con tractor was Leo Palmer. Flourescent lighting Illuminates Illumin-ates the new front rooms and all of the garage in the rear. The front of the building extends 100 feet along Main street, and goes back 396 feet to the next block. The new garage now boasts four hoists, four wash racks, and a separate body and paint shop. The paint shop is air conditioned con-ditioned to eliminate dust, and is equipped with new, sealed, vapor va-por lamps to remove the danger of an explosion due to the paint. Also, the shop is the only one In this end of the state that has the "Weaver Safety Lane" for checking and testing brakes, steering wheels and lights. Wilson Lunt founded the present pres-ent company In 1933, and was Joined by his brother Lanell In 1934. The company was In the building that now houses the South Utah Auto. In 1936, the company moved to its present location. |
