Show Sentence Hell on Bad Check Charge Clyde Bell, alias Charles Bell, who was apprehended in Portland last week mid brought back to Cedar City to fuce a fraudulent check charge, was sentenced by Judge Will L. Hoyt Monday to serve "not more than fourteen years in the state prison" Bell was brought b'fore Justice of the Peace Alex Rollo for preliminary pre-liminary hcnrlng but waived these rights and was bound over to the District Court for trial. Appearing before the District Judge he entered a guilty plea, and waived time for sentence, After questioning the defendant about his pa.st life the Judge ordered tint Bell serve the above mentlened prison term. The Sheriff at Rock Springs, Wyoming, hn,s filed a complaint nd detainer on Bell f ir a similar charge, which means that as soon us he Is released from the Utah prison he must face trial in Wy m-ing. |
