In a word, we wish you well. The Lord in His mercy has preserved and prospered pros-pered us, and given us habitation in this choice spot. We have enjoyed the blessings of plenty, and have been spared the world-wide turmoils of industry. Our pursuits are peaceful, and we have pursued them in peace. Our industry has brought forth bounteously. bounteous-ly. We have fed and clothed ourselves and have sent a substantial surplus out to bless a hungry world. May the Father of all repeat to you these good gifts throughout the coming year. To the Latter-day Saints we send the reminder that we are in our beloved Zion. and the Lord has fulfilled His promises. Whether or not this goodly land shall remain a Zion unto us, depends entirely upon ourselves. Zion is the home of the pure in heart, and we have no promises which are not predicated upon faithfulness and fidelity to the work of the Lord. We exhort you to attend to your religious duties' to pay your Tithes in kind and in the season thereof; to be charitable and kind to each other; to rid your hearts of the poison of hatred, enmity, and jealousy; to be honest and upright, to attend your meetings, and to be generous and helpful to those in need. To our neighbors and friends who are not of our faith, we extend the hand of hearty comradeship and good will. You have been one with us in the promotion promo-tion of every movement for the betterment of our community life. We wish you could be with us also in faith. You are invited to attend our public gatherings gather-ings and religious services; to read prayerfully our sacred books and study the principles of our religion as fully as you desire. For your assistance in this direction, we offer to you the services of anv or all of the organizations of the Church, and bespeak for you the cheerful and willing help of our entire membership. mem-bership. To the presiding officers of the various organizations organiza-tions of the Church we extend the thanks and appreciation appre-ciation of the Church for the services you have rendered rend-ered in the past year. Do not lay vour work aside now. but press on with renewed zeal for the accomplishment accom-plishment of your righteous mission.
