Show THE GREAT ROUND-UP. I WE are gratified to note that the Round-Up which has been in session in our city for the past two weeks has more than come up to every standard promised for it. In the matter of registration the total has passed the 600 mark. At the beginning of the course its supporters considered con-sidered that 350 would be a very satisfactory registration, reg-istration, but none dared to expect the heights to which it has soared. There has not been one dull hour during the entire time, as is eloquently testified by the unflagging un-flagging interest which has been manifested. Every session has been so jyell attended that it has taxed the ingenuity of those in charge to find meeting places large enough to accommodate the members. On Thursday, the next to the last day, there were fifteen registrations, showing that the people are not yet satiated and are eager for more of the like prescriptions. The course has been highly practical, embracing embrac-ing only those subjects which are of vital importance import-ance in the every day life of every farmer and house-keeper in this section. The Record has given its support to the move in every way possible, publishing as much of the proceedings as our limited space would permit, and arrangements have been made to' give our readers :8qme more of the good things in our next issue. t Those persons who doubted the wisdom of holding a two weeks' session, thinking that interest in-terest would be lost in a much shorter time, misjudged mis-judged the scope and importance of the subject matter to be handled. 1HT |
