Show KLs,g& .'iu. i?BOOJgKD,j5fcHOQL.BUILDING. ACCORDING to the way the trustees and others activelyengaged in school work ap- B' 7 pear to view the matter, there is urgent need H! of a new and modern district school building in H Cedar City. The present quarters are obsolete, in- H convenient, unsanitary and inadequate, to put it H plainly.- This is a condition that Cedar City, with H its reputation for progressivene.sa, cannot long H permit. We have a seven and a half icrc tract of H land, well located, and we must have the new H building. The question then is "How are we go- M y ing to get it?" H,. As TheRecord sees it there is only one feasible, H way of accomplishing the coveted purpose without Hr greatly distressing the inhabitants, and that is, H'' of course by bonding. In this way we can secure H the improvement in the shortest possible time, can B obtain the money at a low. rate of interest, and H can have a long time in which to repay it. There H will be no perceptible burden added, and the child- H ren will 'have the advantages to which they are H justly entitled. B Get to thinking and talking about the bonds. H An election will doubtless be called next summer H to decide the question. mm hit |
