Show JU IMPROVEMENTS I AT HURRICANE Vt . Hurricane. Dec. 28. The year II which has just closed has' been I'll in most respects a prosperous 111. qne for Hurricane. Our crops 11 have been good and the market VI fair. During the year 1913 K there were erected ot this place, .- j ten fine dwelling houses costing 11 from $2500 to $4000 each and two : 111 store buildings costing about the I same. There were also about a dozen other houses built. Other improvements accomplished accom-plished during the year were, fifteen now haysheds, eight cisterns cis-terns and several new fences. Two other great improvements being the telephone exchange and the state highway between here and the river. We expect 1914 to give electric light and power. Electrical Enginee Gardner of the B. A. C. was employed by the town beard to investigate " our power site. Mr. Gardner found that we have fifty two feet of fall and about ten second feet of water which can bo diverted at the one point.
