Mortensen, whose post oflice address is Parowan, Utah, has made application in accordance with the requirements require-ments of the Compiled Laws of Utah, 1907, as amended by the Session Laws of Utah, of 1909 and 1911, to appropriate two (2) cubic-feet of water per second se-cond from Mud Spring Wash Creek, Iron County, Utah. Said water will be diverted at a point which lies 2,640 feet west and " III I U I 1,653 feet south of the northeast corner of Section 14, Township 32 south, Range 13 west, Salt Lake base and meridian. It is the intention of the applicant to impound the water at the point of diversion by constructing a npm across said wash. The water thus impounded will be used from January 1 to December Decem-ber 31, inclusive, of each year, for stock watering purposes. The applicant also intends to appropriate ap-propriate four (4) acre-feet of water, which will be stored from January 1 to December 31 inclusive, of each year, in a reservoir embraced in Section 14, Township 32 south, Range 13 west, Salt Lake base and merid ian. The center of the impounding dam is situated at the point first above described. It is the intention in-tention of the applicant to use the water so stored in connection with the two 2 cubic-feet- of water per second for the purpose above stated. . This application is designated in the State Engineer's Engi-neer's office as No. 4973. All protests against the granting grant-ing of said application, stating the reasons therefor, must be made by affidavit in duplicate and filed in this office within thirty (30) days after the completion com-pletion of the publication of this notice.
