Word has come from the At- r torney General, Mr. Barnes, that we can keep sheep out of1 our - upper and lower, basins on the muntain, on the grounds of protecting pro-tecting our water sheds and persons so trespasisng in said basins will be notified to keep out or they will have trouble. . The state road is progressing fine. The grading is completed 4 ,. beyond Hamilton's Port. The Iron County Telephone Co. and the Farm and News Co. here are having quite a bit of annoyance due ,t6 too close connection of the lines, which we have not been able to locate yet. The Adams theatre company ofParowan has a play on here tonight. We were to have had lectures on Dry Farming but were disappointed in getting the meeting house. So New Harmony Har-mony got the benefit of their talks, which were of more benefit bene-fit than the theatres will be. Mrs. James Robb of Cedar City has moved here for the summer, while her husband is off" at work for a life insurance company. A nice program has been prepared pre-pared for the celebration of independence in-dependence day. We will be expecting some fine music from our band, . which will, serenade the town, and give some selections selec-tions in the meeting. This will be the first band of the kind in the history of JKanarra, to play on such an occasion. Anyone desiring to visit us on July 4th, just come along and we will try to make you comfortable. |
