The United War Work CampaiRn. organized at the request of President Wilson, and receiving the support and encouragement f members of Congress, Cong-ress, has for its object the railing of fund of $170,500,000 for the purpose , of furnishing amusements, comforts and caring for the wellbeing of our soldiers during the dreary months they must remain in Kurope after the cessation ces-sation of actual hostilities. The worlc to do is vast and it is j claimed that the amount asked for' will lie none too much. Seine people probably may think that the war is nearly over and therefore it will be i useless to contribute such a large amount for this purpose. Of course, ; yuii know that there will be more need for work during the reconstruction period than at an other time.
