A game of football was pulled off on the Normal Campus last Friday between the Branch Normal Nor-mal and Cranite High "School teams. It was a good game all the way through. Our boys were at a disadvantage ihbcing inexperienced, Qnly two o'f'them haying played before in a team. The game resulted in a score of twenty-two to nothing in Granite's Gran-ite's favor. This is not bad beat considering the fact that teams throughout the State playing under un-der the new rules, scoring as high as seventy-five to nothing. Our boys were prevented from getting a touchdown by losing the ball on a fumble on the ten-yard ten-yard line. Fletcher missed a drop kick by a very small margin. , Last Wednesday, Mr. Fred C. Graham occupied the time at chapel. He sang very beautifully beautiful-ly the Irish love song, "Dear Little Girl." He is here in the interest of the Utah Development Develop-ment League and gave an interesting inter-esting talk on its purpose and activities, also of the work of the Commercial Club. In obedience to the call a large number of students brought their implements and cleared the tennis ten-nis court and basket ball grounds in front the school buildings. Lovers of tennis 'and basketball among the students and faculty are pleased to see the grounds being put into shape, and are anticipating with pleasure the time when they can indulge in these wholesome pastimes. |
